Announcing the arrival of my new blog!

And what can be a more apt name than.... mrspinkdaisy! For obvious reasons that I do not really need to go into details.
I'm embracing a new chapter of my life and well, I'm getting quite annoyed with LJ so I figured, might as well..

Hereon, all my blog entries will be found here. Wordpress is really much better. Its an easier to use interface and with more interesting features I reckon.

Do remember to relink my blog in your blogrolls or file them in your favourites.

I'll be deleting this one in due time.

And moving into a new phase of life.

I'm going to change blogs. For 3 reasons..

1. LJ is getting annoying with the photo uploads.
2. Company blocks LJ.
3. To embrace a new lease of life.

So I'm currently importing my old blogs and getting my new blog ready for the launch.

If you, as the reader, can guess my new blog name, you will receive a nice prize from me.
Even if you are not hard up for a prize, give it a shot anyway. It'll be interesting to know what you'll come up with!

Clue: The name is extremely simple.

I woke up late. The taxi came late. I was going to be late for work. So I was asked to take a half day off so my performance wouldn't be affected. What a terrible waste of my leave!

So I ended up chilling out at Coffee Bean for breakfast. It was garlic bagel with cream cheese and me-time.

In an effort to revamp and improve our home - also in preparation of the wedding, mum bought a new set of living room furniture. And the old set of 23 years was found disposed at our corridor when I returned home on Monday.

Its such a wonderful thing to see my man serving. And better yet, we serve alongside each other.

I simply love this picture!

2 big Cs to be precise.

We had our bi-annual Royal Rangers Council of Achievement and of course, every one earned something!

And since we had our 10 days fast, Ms Chia decides that everyone should be craving for chicken wings. And we trotted down to old Kallang Road for dinner. Mine was beef noodles - that serious melt in your mouth.
And everyone else had chicken wings. I'm not quite a fan of chicken wings actually. Its mainly because I have to use my fingers which I avoid.

Anyway, COA and chicken wings!

Lunch hour and I had to watch 'The Ramen Girl'. And I started craving for ramen. The ones with good broths pack the most potent punch, I'd say! So I googled and did some research and made my man take me to holland village for Yoshimaru Ramen Bar.

We had the Traditional Hakata Ramen, and the Yoshimaru Tan Tan Mian.
My traditional ramen was awesome. I haven't been to Japan so I've no basis of comparison but given my Singaporean tastebuds and the reviews from several past visitors, I must say it was worth the trip. Their broth was brewed into a fragrant stock and well, lets just say, I wouldn't mind a visit to Japan someday. Even the man enjoyed his nutty-ish tan tan mian.

Note for you readers out there who know my man as your personal friend. He never enjoyed Japanese food, or if you thought he was a easygoing eater, well, you thought wrong. So my point is, it took me a little more than a year for him to genuinely enjoy Japanese food - kajiki sashimi included. And I've also succeeded on foie gras.
Next project for the man? I also do have a love for pastas, you know.

If you remember my salted egg prawn blog earlier on, you would understand the reason for this.
I just had to introduce this to my family.
I cannot explain why the salted egg prawn dish is so good. I never chew on prawn shells. Ever. But for this dish, I had to. In order for me to taste the salted egg sauce on golden fried batter.

Sadly enough, the mum didn't think it was that great to warrant my ravings. Oh well..

The aunt made green bean soup and she told durians would complement them very well.
The mum says to get rid of the durians before they reek the fridge.

It was 12am, and there's no way I'm gg to heat up the green beans and put in the durians. So.. it was lovely luscious durians at 12am before I hit the sack.
